Brackett still exploring options

Cornerback Kelton Brackett of Prichard (Ala.) Blount committed to UAB back in July, but it looks as if the Blazers' work isn't done.
"I'm still committed to UAB, but I'm keeping my options open," Brackett told Rivals.com this week.

Florida International apparently is one of those options.
"FIU is recruiting me hard," Brackett said. "They want me to come in there and start."
According to Brackett, he also is hearing from some Southeastern Conference schools. Notable ones at that.
"Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee are coming into the picture," he said. "I'm hearing from all three but they haven't offered me yet. They're telling me they like me and want to see how I do this season."
Asked how often he hears from the Tide, Razorbacks and Vols, Brackett replied, "Probably once a week." Of the three, he thinks his best shot at an offer could be Tennessee. "I just feel that way," Brackett said.
The 5-feet-11, 190-pound Brackett is hopeful his senior highlights will impress. Thus far, he has recorded three interceptions and one forced fumble in six games.
Brackett said he plans to make an unofficial to UAB this weekend for the Blazers' game against Mississippi State. He hopes to take an official to UAB in either December or January. According to Brackett, FIU also will get an official.
