Boyles, 6-3, 185 pounds is one of the elite athletes in the West this year. He plays on both sides of the ball but will play receiver for the Huskies after committing this past weekend.
"I committed as soon as I got there basically," Boyles said. "On Saturday, I was walking around with Coach Willingham and I asked him how he thought I would fit in with the program.
"He told me that he believed in my ability and said if I came in and worked as hard as he knows I can, I could come in and play as a true freshman. That was all I needed to hear so I said, 'OK coach, I'm making a commitment right now than.'
"He was really excited and started jumping up and down. I think Washington is just a great fit for me. On the trip, I felt like I was already part of the team. I got along so good with the players and the coaches that it was like we were all a big family.
"Probably the biggest reason, other than being able to play right away, I committed was because of their quarterback, Jake Locker. He's going to be a 1st round draft pick someday and as a receiver, playing with a great quarterback is huge.
"I want to play in the League (NFL) someday and I think Locker can help me get there. He's a special talent and will make me a heck of a lot better. I'm still going take more visits, I have Oregon (Jan 12) and Arizona (Jan. 19) but I'm going to Washington."
