Boykin has two trips planned this month

Rivals250 wide receiver Miles Boykin of New Lenox (Ill.) Providence Catholic is methodically going through his list of offers and researching each school. That effort will include two visits later this month, the first being to Ole Miss on April 22.
"I have a lot of family in Mississippi," Boykin noted. "My dad's half of the family is from Mississippi and I think I have one cousin who played at Ole Miss. The last time I went there I was six or seven and I don't remember too much."

Ole Miss made a lot of noise in the 2013 class when the went into the Chicago area and signed five-star receiver Laquon Treadwell, who would go on to national freshman of the year honors last fall for the Rebels. Boykin works out with the same training group Treadwell did during high school.
"They said when I go down there hopefully they can hook me up with him and we can talk for a little bit," Boykin said.
Boykin will follow up the visit to Ole Miss with one to Michigan State two days later on April 24. It will be his second recruiting visit to East Lansing.
"They were the first school to start recruiting me when I was a freshman," he said. "This time I just look forward to seeing the campus. I have seen the [football] facilities and I liked them a lot."
Ole Miss and Michigan State are two of 14 schools that have offered Boykin, and he is looking to visit more of those schools in the coming months.
"Florida I definitely want to check out," Boykin said. "I heard it is beautiful down there, so when we go to the IMG National Championships [in June] me and my mom are going to visit there."
The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Boykin has the skill set of a wide receiver, but there are schools who like his size for the flex tight end role.
"The majority are for receiver, but Florida kind of offered me as a hybrid and Virginia Tech offered me as a hybrid," Boykin said.
With 14 scholarship offers in hand, and more schools planning to see him during the spring evaluation process, Boykin is watching to see how the next six weeks play out before paring his list.
"I want to try [to commit] by August," he said. "I don't have a top anything yet, but after spring recruiting I want to make my top ten. Hopefully by then all the offers are out."
A four-star prospect, Boykin is ranked as the nation's No. 10 wide receiver prospect, No. 114 overall in the 2015 class and No. 2 in the state of Illinois.
