Boykin has positive visit with OSU

New Lenox (Ill.) Providence Catholic four-star wide receiver Miles Boykin had made two previous recruiting visits to Ohio State prior to this weekend, but Saturday's trip was the first since he added an offer from the Buckeyes.
"It was awesome," Boykin said of the visit. "There was definitely more love now that I have the offer, but that was expected. I feel that they really do want me and are making a hard push right now."

Boykin received the standard campus tour and was able to sit down with the Ohio State coaching staff, including the head coach.
"Urban Meyer was at the Draft in New York [Friday] night and flew back and talked with some of us," Boykin said. "I got some one-on-one time with him. I think he might be the realist head coach I have met so far. He told me everything I wanted to know and didn't hide anything."
One of the key questions the 6-foot-4, 212-pound Boykin wanted to get answered on the visit was how he would be used in Ohio State's offense.
"I found out they changed my offer," he said. "They don't want me to play tight end, they want me for receiver. I think that is definitely a positive because that means they think I am fast enough to play receiver and have the ball skills for receiver."
Although Ohio State is one of the more recent offers for Boykin, this trip has put them in the thick of his recruitment.
"I am definitely going to take a stronger look than I was before," Boykin said. "I thought it was a really good visit for me."
Saturday was also the day Boykin learned of another new offer. Arizona State is the latest addition to his list.
"I guess they offered me two months ago but my head coach didn't tell me," Boykin said of Arizona State. "I am going to try to get out there in the summer."
Boykin does not have any additional visits planned in the near term. He has expressed a desire recently to trim his list down to 10 schools at the end of spring recruiting.
