"I love coach Rod (Rich Rodriguez) and his staff. They are real cool. They joke around and make me laugh. That's a place where I will have a chance to play early. It's also a real nice place. It's bigger than Notre Dame and they have more students.
"I can play early at Notre Dame as well. They have a nice campus too. When I went there I had that feeling. They are good people and that coaching staff knows what it takes to get to next level because they have been there."
"You know Georgia is a place that I have not been to yet. But they are a top tier schools. I talk with the coaches there and they are real good guys. I met some of them this spring."
Boyd, who also runs track, injured his hamstring during the track season and then tore it during his spring football game. It's almost to the point where he's 100%.
"I am working out at home and feeling so much better now. They said it would take ten weeks to heal and I am almost there. I tweaked it during track and I just never got healthy."
In regards to his decision, no time and place have been scheduled yet for his Friday announcement.
