Boyd back at home

Coaches looking for Dickinson, Texas running back T.J. Boyd, have had to follow him over to his new school at La Marque. The talented running back is in spring practice with his new team preparing to share time with fellow running back Markus Frank.
The duo are picking up a lot of looks from colleges across the country. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound runner Boyd had nothing but good things to say about his team and coaches at Dickinson. However, La Marque just felt like home.

"It just wasn't right for me over there," Boyd said about his former team. "I enjoyed the coaches and everything about it, but I just felt better at La Marque. Over here is where I went to middle school and everything."
TCU, Iowa State, Texas Tech, and Houston are just a few schools showing interest in Boyd. One of those teams leads the way early on.
"Right now my top school is TCU," Boyd said. "I've always wanted to be a Horned Frog. I'm waiting to see what they do and maybe for the right time to make a commitment if everything goes through.
"That's a school I could see myself at."
The two running back set that La Marque is running will give a chance for both Frank and Boyd to shine.
"Marcus is doing really well," he said. "He's going to be great this year. He and I are both getting a lot of looks from colleges. It's like we're both starting with the offense we run."
