Bowser Makes His College Choice

UNLV and Washington don’t normally go head to head on too many players and when they do, the Huskies usually have the upper hand. The Running Rebels were able to steal one however as Chris Bowser, a 6-6, 275 pound offensive lineman from Mission Viejo (Calif.) Saddleback JC committed to UNLV.
"I have decided to attend UNLV,” Bowser told Ruth Robbins of RealDawg.com. "I felt great about both schools (Washington and UNLV), certainly Washington had an edge in terms of prestige and economic support, but it was hard to overcome the proximity of UNLV, its close to home and my

family can come watch me play every weekend.
"I know that Las Vegas is a place where people like to go and just spend a weekend, but I love that place. I want to study criminal justice and I'd like to possibly get a job there on the metro police force after college. I did love Seattle, but John Robinson was my favorite coach when I was a kid. I remember watching the Rose Bowl in '96 with my parents and I'm real excited to play for him."
Bowser has now informed the Washington coaches and is calling the UNLV coaches as we speak to officially give then his commit. The lineman visited Seattle last weekend and was also looking at Colorado.
