Bowman trying to set first visit

Some new schools may be jumping into the picture for Carthage, Texas dual-threat quarterback Marcus Bowman late in the process.
Bowman, the 6-foot-2, 196-pounder, still holds scholarship offers from Arkansas, Colorado State, and Iowa State. However, Bowman says his coach has been in contact with other schools such as Louisiana-Monroe, TCU, North Texas, and Texas State.

The East Texas prospect says he's looking to get out on road for his first visits soon.
"I haven't taken any trips, but I'm supposed to be going to Texas State soon," Bowman said. "I was supposed to go this past weekend, but the weather was bad and we've got basketball practice today.
"If we can, we're trying to nail down some dates for some of these other schools pretty soon."
Bowman denies having a favorite.
"I'm keeping my options open," he said. "All of the schools like Arkansas, Colorado State, and Iowa State still keep in contact though. It's really been about the same as it always has. Nothing has changed yet."
