Bowman says Big Ten school leads

Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Marys running back Anthony Bowman's scholarship offer total continues to rise, but it looks like his decision will come down to one of several Big Ten schools.
"I went to Michigan State's camp," Bowman said. "I went one day. I was there Tuesday. They offered.

"I have offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue, Washington, Minnesota, and North Carolina State.
"Iowa would be my top choice. Then Michigan State and Northwestern. I went to Michigan State and Iowa's camps.
"I was hoping I could make up my mind before the season or early in the season.
"I might visit Northwestern later this month. I've only been to Michigan State and Iowa."
Asked why he favored the Hawkeyes, Bowman said, "I liked the surroundings there. I like the coaches. They're down to earth."
The 5-foot-10 and 170 pound Bowman rushed for 927 yards and had 422 receiving during his junior season. He is the No. 12 prospect in the state of Michigan in the Rivals.com player rankings.
