Bowman, Luckett to choose

Suitland, Md. linebacker Navorro Bowman and Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit wide receiver Zach Luckett are both set to announce their decisions today after months of predictions and speculations. The 6-foot-0, 218-pound Bowman is choosing between Penn State, Virginia Tech and Ohio State while the 6-foot-3, 193-pound Luckett is picking between Virginia Tech and Boston College. Can the Hokies land the double dip or will they be shut out?

Bowman is a tough one to predict. He likes all three schools quite a bit, enjoyed his visits to each and hasn't really tipped his hand yet. He's a better fit in both the Ohio State and Penn State defenses because their schemes are less about sideline-to-sideline coverage while Tech linebackers tend to be quicker and more the quick twitch type. However, the Hokies are well known for coaching their 'backers up and many feel Bowman thinks he has a better chance to improve his quickness there. I'm not really sure who will finish second in this battle, but I'm going with Penn State in this one.
Forecast: Penn State
Confidence Level: High
As for Luckett, his decision is easy to figure out unless he shocks someone. He enjoyed his visit to Boston College but he's been a huge Virginia Tech lean for a long time and nothing BC showed him changed that. The Hokies utilize big, physical receivers well and Luckett is a solid possesion guy who will be good in the red zone.
Forecast: Virginia Tech
Confidence Level: High
