Bowman lands another major offer

Miami is the latest big program to offer Gerald Bowman, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound safety from Woodland Hills (Calif.) Pierce C.C. who has seen his offer list balloon with major offers throughout the past few months.
"For right now I'm just going to add it to the list and try to figure things out later," Bowman said.

"I was definitely excited about it because that's a school that has great tradition and I've watched their players be successful at the next level. It's a big deal but I'm still narrowing my options down."
Bowman is not sure when he will take a visit to Miami but he's hoping to schedule something this summer even though he has a busy June already planned.
"I'm trying to see when I can get down there," Bowman said. "In the month of June I'm going on a bunch of unofficial visits so I'm trying to see if I can make it down there. It's always nice to take a trip to Miami."
Next month Bowman will visit Arizona State for the second time and then has scheduled a trip to Cal at the end of June. Sometime in the middle, Bowman wants to squeeze in trips to Oregon and Oregon State. A visit to Miami might be postponed until July or even until the season gets underway.
As far as a commitment, Bowman said his recruitment is still in the early stages and that is not under consideration yet. First, he wants to take some visits, narrow his list and then seriously consider making a pledge. Now with Miami on his list, things just got even more challenging.
"It's actually going to be tougher than I thought," Bowman said. "I think by the end of spring I'll have my list narrowed down but making a commitment or anything like that it's going to take a little longer."
In total, Bowman now has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Cincinnati, Colorado, FIU, Kansas State, Miami, Ole Miss, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Oregon State, South Florida, Southern Miss, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington, Washington State and West Virginia.
