Shane Bowman took an official visit to Washington this past weekend and the Oregon State commit said he now has some thinking to do.
The Bellevue, Wash., three-star defensive end has been committed to the Beavers since July but it sounds like his trip to Washington went really well and he's going to sit down soon with his family to hash out where his recruitment stands.
"It's a beautiful stadium with great facilities," Bowman said. "The coaches are honest and genuine.
"They basically told me what they were all about and kind of let me decide whether I wanted to be a part of their program. They just laid out how they do things and what they're all about. If I like it I can join, but if I don't like it, I don't have to come."
Asked what that means in terms of his recruitment and especially his commitment to Oregon State, Bowman did not exactly lay out a complete answer.
"I really like Washington," Bowman said.
There is no timetable for the 6-foot-4, 243-pound prospect to make a final choice.
Bowman said he plans to discuss Oregon State, Washington and his entire recruitment with his family soon and then come to terms with everything.
"I have to talk to my parents about some stuff, but I really like Washington," Bowman said.
