Bowman has good trip to Knoxville

Highly heralded inside linebacker Andrew Bowman from Richmond (Va.) Hermitage returned home from his first official visit, and now has a benchmark to judge other schools by. He visited Tennessee over the weekend and enjoyed the experience.
“It went good, really good,” he commented. “It was a good overall visit. I just liked all the players and how united they are off the field.” He was hosted by sophomore linebacker Kevin Simon and rated the trip an eight.

Bowman will visit Virginia this upcoming weekend (Nov. 28), then will travel to Purdue on Dec. 5 and Virginia Tech on Dec. 12. NC State will get his final trip, but he hasn’t set a date yet.
“I will take all my visits and see how I feel at the school and how I feel around the players and coaches,” Andrew commented on the timeframe for his decision.
Rated the No. 35 inside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com, Bowman is 6-foot-1, weighs 220 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He was limited in action as a senior, due to blowouts in their 9-1 season. He still managed 99 total tackles (15 for loss), two sacks, four forced fumbles, and two recoveries, though.
“That was about it,” he said. “I didn’t play a lot, because we blew out a lot of opponents. I only played one half in seven games, but still got 10 tackles.”
