Bowman cancels Florida official

Linebacker Navorro Bowman out of Suitland, Md. was planning to take an official to Florida this weekend, but now it's appearing more likely that the four-star prospect isn't going. The 6-foot-0, 218-pounder is debating between taking the visit, but either way plans to decide in the next few weeks.
"I don't know if I'll be going to Florida because I think I have my heart and mind set where I'm going to go," he said. "I don't want to make my decision any harder than it already is. My decision is between Penn State, Virginia Tech and Ohio State. I'm planning to make a decision sometime in the first week of December."

What makes each of those schools stand out?
"All three of them are great schools and I had a great visit at all of them," he said. "I'd say things are pretty even amongst them and it's going to be a hard decision to distinguish between the three. I just want to take my time and figure out which one to go to.
"I like the educational and athletics at all three. The crowds are great at them and they all get a lot of support from their fans. I also get along with all three coaches. I really like coach Johnson, Ball and Fickell. They are down to earth people that I can talk about anything with from education to athletics."
Bowman and Suitland just finished their season Saturday against Douglass.
"Douglass has been blowing people out, but our game with them was 6-0 until the end when we threw the ball up and they picked it off for a touchdown," he said. "They ended up winning 13-0. We had a real young group of guys on this team and I'm hoping they learned a lot to play from for next year.
"This was just my second game back from injury. Last week against Bowie I had 10 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble. This week I had 12 tackles. I was real happy with how I played because most people didn't expect me to play like I did with my messed up shoulder, but I showed them."
