Bower weighing options

Last weekend Tashawn Bower made the trip from New Jersey to Baton Rouge for an official visit with LSU. The current Auburn commit is visiting a few schools to see if he wants to change his commitment.
"Things went well, I thought there were a lot of positive things about the school, the tradition people academics," said the 6-foot-5, 241-pounder via text message. "I have great relationships with coach Haley too. My host was Danielle Hunter and he was really cool. The other players were great guys too, everyone was equal no one was better than another, I'm sure that's how it is on the field"

The defensive end from Somerville (N.J.) Immaculata has visited Florida and Florida State the previous two weekends and offered comparisons between the two Florida schools and LSU.
"I think campus was bigger which was something I wasn't used to," said Bower. "I can't say anything specific that I liked. I guess what I liked is the academic part. Mom liked that part also. They have a great business school."
Les Miles talked to Bower in his office to put his stamp on Bower's official visit.
"Coach Miles talked about how he isn't afraid to play freshman and that championships will be played for year in and out," he said. "I'm not sure when his in home visit will be."
Bower has said he will take an unofficial visit to Auburn on February 1 and will try to visit Rutgers the weekend after. What does he hope to see during those visits?
"I just to reevaluate my commitment at Auburn," Bower said. "I couldn't get that Rutgers visit set up. I'm planning on announcing my decision on signing day."
Bower has been committed to Auburn since June.
