Bowens ready to set up first official visit

There has yet to be an in-state offer come down the pipe for St. Petersburg (Fla.) wide receiver/safety Donald Bowens but apparently he's starting to think about visits.
His offer list includes schools such as Iowa State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, and Rutgers and it appears that the 6-foot-2, 191-pound receiver is very interested in all of those schools, but one has been more aggressive in getting a visit set up.

"I'm setting up a trip for Nebraska either this weekend or next weekend," Bowens said. "I've been talking to the coaches and they always send me stuff in the mail. The coaches seem nice, the place seems nice, so they're one of my top teams that I want to see."
The Big 12 team is not the only team that appeals to Bowens and not the only one in the conference as a matter of fact.
"They're up there but so is Iowa State and I'm actually starting to considering South Florida more than I was before," he said. "They both seem like good schools that could give me an early opportunity to play. Florida and Florida State are also two other schools I really like."
A decision is something that Bowens is planning on making after the season. Right now he's been filling in for an injured quarterback on the team and that has kept him busy.
"We lost our first two games, but I've actually been throwing the ball rather than catching it at quarterback," he said. "I'll play wide receiver this week because he's back from the injury."
