Bowens names four leaders

Four schools currently stand out to 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker Reggie Bowens. Who is the Garner, N.C. prospect favoring and is he getting closer to a decision?
"I'm looking at about four schools right now," he said. "They are North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee. The last two have not yet offered, but I'm hearing some good compliments from them about an offer. They want me to come for a visit when school starts."

Bowens discussed the leaders a little further in-depth.
"Every time I go to North Carolina they have good hospitality and the coaches are real nice," he said. "South Carolina has very nice coaches too when I went down there. I also talk to Chris Culliver and he gives me word about how he likes the program a lot. The fact he is there is pretty big.
"As for Alabama and Tennessee, I'm not as familiar with them as the others. They are both good programs."
A few weeks ago, the three-star prospect camped at one of his leaders.
"I went to two camps at North Carolina," he said. "It was a good workout and I spent time with the coaches. I talked to my position coach and Butch Davis. He's a real good coach that knows what he wants to do. I think they've got a good team."
With clear favorites, is Bowens closing in on a decision?
"I think I'll be ready around the middle of the season," he said. "I want to take my officials to these schools first.
"I'm looking for good academics and a solid coaching staff. I'd say I'm probably most comfortable with North Carolina right now because I can relate to their coaches."
