Bowens has two on top

St. Petersburg wide receiver Donald Bowens attended the Tallahassee NIKE camp in May and at the time only had one offer. Since then he has picked up three new offers and interest from a number of other schools.
"I have offers from Ole Miss, Nebraska, Rutgers and Iowa State," Bowens said. "Ole Miss offered me before the NIKE camp, but all of the other schools offered me afterwards. Some other schools like Louisville and Florida State have been showing me more interest since then."

The 6-foot-2, 191-pound Bowens attended the Tallahassee NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds, ran the shuttle in 4.03 seconds and posted a 30-inch vertical jump.
"Right now my favorites would be Florida State, Nebraska, Louisville, South Florida, Ole Miss and Florida," Bowens said. "Florida State is probably my overall favorite, if they offered I would probably commit. After them Nebraska is my other favorite. I talked to the coaches up there and they tell me about their offense and the school and all and it all sounds pretty good."
During his junior campaign Bowens caught 30 passes for 510 yards. He has been a starter since his freshman season and has 125 career receptions for 1,574 yards and 25 touchdowns.
"I would really like to stay close to home if that's possible, but I would leave if it was the right situation," Bowens said. "I am looking for a school that offers my major and has a good program in that. I don't mind red-shirting, but I would want to play after that."
In addition to the Tallahassee NIKE camp Bowens also attended camps at Florida State and South Florida this summer.
"I am probably not going to rush into any kind of decision," Bowens said. "I want to take my time and take all of my visits before I make any kind of decision. I would commit early only if I felt like it was the perfect situation."
