Bowens adds offer No. 4

Garner, N.C. linebacker Reggie Bowens continues to compile offers. Now the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is up to four scholarships, his latest coming from the ACC.
"I picked up an offer from Clemson just after I went to their junior day," he said. "It's a nice place and I like the campus. It's real pretty out there, but I'm pretty wide open right now."

Along with the Tigers, Bowens holds offers from North Carolina, South Carolina and East Carolina. He's also receiving interest from Miami, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Michigan State and numerous others.
With no clear favorites, what is the North Carolina defender looking for in a college?
"I want good academics, a great football program, a nice climate and cool, down-to-earth coaches," he said. "Location doesn't matter at all to me as long as it's hot."
Recently Bowens took a visit to one of the other schools that offered.
"I went to North Carolina's junior day in the past couple weeks," he said. "I had a good time out there and they have a nice campus and cool coaches. I got to watch practice, tour the campus and all that. I met with Tommy Thigpen and Butch Davis spoke to the group. I liked what the coaches had to say about the program and I was impressed with the practice."
Bowens has not scheduled any spring game visits, but does plan to attend the Shrine Bowl combine in the near future.
