There could be more in store for defensive back Sean Bouie of Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic High School. He has impressive size and now plays for a high school that will have the eyes of college coached fixed upon it.

But should his offer list, which currently stands at two, not grow in the coming months, Bouie has a plan in place. The blueprint, it turns out, is simple.

“I like Southern Miss right now,” Bouie said. “I like them best. I’m visiting in July … The plan is that I want to commit when I get out there. It could change, but that’s the plan right now.”

The other school currently involved with Bouie is Syracuse. The 6-foot-1 defensive back holds an offer from the Orange and says he may or may not take a visit to campus. For now, though, it seems like schools that have yet to offer him are what pose the biggest threat to Southern Miss.

“N.C. State and Middle Tennessee are talking to me and might offer,” Bouie said. “I want those offers. I want N.C. State.”

IN HIS WORDS: “I love the attention they show me at Southern Miss,” Bouie said. “We talk and text a lot, and I think I have a chance to play early there.”

RIVALS REACTION: Southern Miss seems to have positioned itself great with Bouie. The Golden Eagles will likely receive his verbal commitment, but that’s where the work may start. It stands to reason that the three-star prospect will get some major exposure at his new school. Should he have a big season, other schools could come calling. Southern Miss will likely need to protect its kill should Bouie commit in July.
