Boston College, Rutgers offer RB

Running back Kordell Young received his first two offers of the recruiting season recently, from two local programs.
The 5-foot-9, 180-pounder has heard from everybody, although according to West Deptford head coach Clyde Folsom both Boston College and Rutgers have offered.

This season Young helped the school to a 12-0 record as they won the Group-II state championship. The running back broke off for 1,251 yards and 22 touchdowns as he was named all-South Jersey and all-conference.
"The key for him this year was his durability, he didn't miss a minute of practice or game time and that says a lot about his toughness," Folsom said. "And he only did it all in probably seven and a half games last year.
"His overall speed improved immensely," he said. "He has great vision and exceptional strength."
As for who is standing out early on for Young, it appears he might be looking in-state.
"He really likes Rutgers," he said. "He liked the facilities during his visit to Rutgers junior day."
Young has also been to Boston College for a game last season.
"He liked it there too," said Folsom. "They have great academics and produce top running backs."
Young is also being recruited heavily by Iowa, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Northwestern and Wisconsin amongst others.
This spring Young is planning on attending the NIKE Camp at Penn State and the Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers in May.
