Boss visits Wildcats for spring game

Cherryvale, Kan. offensive lineman Matt Boss is one of the top players in Kansas for the Class of 2004. While it is still early in the recruiting process, Boss currently has one team at the top of his list right now.
“I went to K-State’s spring game over the weekend,” the 6-foot-4, 298 pound said. “It was pretty cool. I watched the game and then got a chance to talk to some of the coaches afterward. I got to talk to coach (Bill) Snyder in his office too.”

The thing that stood out to Boss during his trip to Manhattan was the Wildcat coaching staff.
“The coaches were all really nice. They are really striving for your education. It is more of an education place than a football place. They really stress the academics there.”
Boss has already had coaches coming by the school to meet with his coach Jon Guidie.
“Oklahoma came by last Monday,” Boss said. “They shook my hand and told me they’d be in touch with me about their camp and more information on their program. And Arkansas was by Tuesday last week. They talked to my coach quite a bit about me.”
So with the schools coming by, which school sits atop the list right now.
“K-State is my top school right now,” he said. “Oklahoma is up there too.”
Boss will take the summer to look at some schools while visiting them for their summer camps.
“I’m planning on going to Oklahoma’s and K-State’s camps. I’m looking at the Arkansas camp and the Kansas camps too if the dates work out.”
Boss doesn’t want to rush into a decision.
“I plan on just waiting it out and seeing how everything looks. I want to see all of the schools I can.”
