Boss takes in season opener

Cherryvale, Kan. offensive lineman Matt Boss made his decision a month ago on which college to attend. Yesterday he got to watch them in action.
“I went up to the K-State game yesterday,” the 6-foot-5, 315-pound Boss said. “I had a good time. Everything was cool and the game came out the right way.”

Boss had the opportunity to do a little recruiting while he was in Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
“I got to talk to a couple other guys in the top 100 rankings,” Boss said. “Nick Patton, the quarterback from Winfield was there. It was the first time I met him. We talked about our upcoming seasons and how the early practices were going for our teams. I also talked to Rockhurst running back, Tony Temple. He is a real nice guy. It was good to talk to him again.”
So, did Boss get any feel for where the two members of the Rivals100 might be heading?
“They didn’t really give any indication as to where they may be going,” the four-star rated Boss said. “I know they each have a lot of schools that are recruiting them. They will make their decisions when they are ready to. They are looking at a lot of good schools.”
Despite Boss’ pledge to K-State, the mail continues to flow to his home.
“The mail hasn’t let up at all. All of the same schools are still sending me stuff still. I don’t know if it will ever quit, or if they will keep sending things.”
