Boss holding four scholarship offers

Cherryvale, Kansas offensive tackle Matt Boss enters the 2003 season as one of the top players in Kansas, and colleges are taking note of his skills.
"We're getting coaches coming by here to see him," Cherryvale coach Jon Guidie said. "It has been pretty busy around here the last few days."

Guidie has hosted coaches from Oklahoma and Arkansas already to talk about the 6-foot-4, 298-pound Boss. And expects more next week.
"Oklahoma was here Monday and Arkansas was here Tuesday," Guidie said. "Kansas State has said they were going to come by next Monday and Kentucky has indicated they want to come by next week sometime."
Boss has scholarship offers from Oklahoma, Kansas State, Kentucky and Kansas.
Guidie said Boss doesn't list a favorite school right now.
"He's keeping his options open right now. He wants to visit a place or two before narrowing anything down. I'd say he likes Kentucky, Kansas State and Oklahoma probably more than some of the other schools."
Boss is the real deal according to his coach.
"He's just what you look for in a recruit and as a player. He is the real deal on the field. What’s so good about him is that he can move. There is no fat on him. He moves well. His strength has improved. A good kid. A good family. Yes sir, no sir type of kid."
