Bosco DE nabs first two offers

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep defensive end Sam Griffin hauled in his first two scholarship offers recently. Who did the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder get the offers from?
"He picked up offers from Temple and Massachusetts," Don Bosco Prep assistant Nunzio Campanile said. "I know that he likes the offers. It also appears that Delaware is very close to offering too.

"I think other teams are taking a wait and see approach including Boston College, Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. They all like his athleticism and he's planning to go to their camps to try to earn a scholarship."
Most of the schools are waiting on Griffin because they aren't sure where he'll play in college.
"I know a lot of schools aren't sure if he's an offensive or defensive player," he said. "He plays offensive tackle for us and I think he can definitely bulk up and be a great lineman because he is a very good blocker. He also has tremendous athleticism and great feet to play on the defensive line too. In just the past couple months, Sam has really bulked up filling out to 230-pounds and he can definitely grow a lot more."
Griffin earned third team all-county and first team all-league honors last season.
