Bosa gets a different look at FSU

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star defensive end Joey Bosa made his way to Florida State on Saturday for junior day. It didn't mark his first time on campus, but it was drastically different than the last time.
"It was awesome," Bosa said. "The first time I was up here was last summer and it was just in and out. I didn't really get to see the campus or anything, or any of the facilities. It was just a camp. I had to drive home that night. So I got to see everything today and it was awesome. It was way better than I expected."
For Bosa, the highlight of the visit was meeting and spending time with coaches on Jimbo Fisher's staff.

"I love (Coach D.J.) Eliot, who is the defensive ends coach," Bosa said. "He is super down to business and all serious. He knows the position better than anyone in the country. This was the first time I met the strength coach (Vic Viloria). He is awesome too."
This visit to Florida State made a strong impression on the 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end and allowed him to get a better feel for the staff at Florida State. Building a relationship with a school's coaching staff will be pivotal to Bosa's ultimate decision.
"It is all about meeting the coaches and that is basically what I am going to make my decision on," Bosa said. "All of the facilities are nice but the coaches are what stand out the most."
As for where Florida State stands after the visit, Bosa says they may have entrenched themselves amongst his top schools.
"Probably in my top five," Bosa said. "With Florida, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Alabama.
"They are all even right now," Bosa added.
The South Florida prospect is not working with a specific timeline for making a decision.
"Whenever I feel it is right," Bosa said. "Whenever I am 100% sure to where I want to go."
At this stage of the process, the Rivals100 prospect says it will be tough to narrow it down to just one school.
"It is getting tougher every time I visit a new school," Bosa said. "I don't even know how I am going to make my decision. I will just sit down with my family and pick out the pros and cons and whichever school seems like the best fit for me then that is where I will be."
Bosa mentioned that he plans to visit Ohio State and Wisconsin in April. Michigan is also a possibility during that trip. He also plans to return to Alabama during the spring or summer for another visit. He mentioned no specific plans for visiting Florida or Florida State in the coming months.
