Borseti Chooses

Danvers (Ma.) St. John's Prep linebacker Nick Borseti said that today was the day for his decision. So which program did he choose?
"I committed to Notre Dame," said the 6-foot-3, 215-pound. "I loved it there this weekend and it really came down to where I felt I fit the best, felt the most comfortable and where I thought I could play."

Borseti had an offer from Syracuse and interest from Penn State and Boston College as well.
"All of the programs were great and I liked all the coaches," he said. "Notre Dame was just something special though. Coach Willingham wasn't there, but he took the time to set up a tele-conference with me and re-affirm how much they wanted me."
Borseti, who resides in Saugus, Ma., didn't get an offer from his home state BC Eagles. Is he looking forward to the rivalry?
"BC is a great program and I'm not going to badmouth them or anything. I liked the coaches there," he said. "I look forward to playing a couple of games at home in front of my family and being part of the great rivalry."
Borseti averaged 10 tackles per game as a junior and had 11 sacks in leading his team to an 11-1 record.
