Boone is getting closer to his first offer

Vienna (Va.) Oakton quarterback Jimmy Boone has slipped under the radar so far without an offer. However, a number of schools are monitoring the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder.
"I've been to a couple camps over this offseason and all the schools I've visited told me they were very interested and I'm one of the top three they are looking at," he said. "I'm been hearing from Delaware, Towson, Maryland, Kansas State and Rutgers.

"Right now I'm just trying to keep working hard and stay positive."
What's his status with the various schools?
"Delaware told me I'm in their top three and they want to offer, but they take it really slow with quarterbacks," he stated. "I've been in constant contact with Towson and my coach believes once I go to their one day this Saturday I'll receive an offer.
"Maryland told me that if I perform the way I have been at camps during the beginning of my season I'll be sure to be getting a call from them. I've been receiving handwritten letters from Rutgers and Kansas State too. They are saying similar things to Maryland and want to see me during the season."
Boone plans to head to Towson Saturday followed by William & Mary next week.
Do any schools stick out?
"I'm actually really interested in Delaware right now."
