Junior to Watch: Michael Braunstein
School: Gilbert, Ariz.

Position: Kicker/Punter
Size and Speed: Braunstein stands 5-foot-8, weighs 170 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Statistics: Braunstein has hit on 14-19 field goals for his career with a long of 54 yards. He is outstanding on PAT’s hitting on 60-63. As a punter, Braunstein averaged 42.5 yards per punt with a hang time 3.6 –4.0 seconds. Braunstein hits the end zone on 72% of kick-offs.
Honors: Braunstein was selected all-Arizona, all-state, all-region and all-league as a kicker/punter his junior season.
Favorite Schools: Very open regarding school, but he is hearing from Washington, USC, ASU, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, Michigan, Auburn and Texas. Braunstein told Pac10Recruiting he is interested in every school that is recruiting him.
The Skinny: Braunstein is a hard worker who worked on his kicking skills at the Tennessee, North Carolina, Clemson, UCLA, South Carolina and Duke last summer. He was considered one of the standout kickers at every camp! Braunstein was 17 for 17 in the accuracy contest at the UNC camp.
Braunstein has a great lift on his kicks. He uses the one-inch tee rather than the two-inch to prepare for kicking in college. He also has an outstanding pop and the ball gets elevated extremely quickly. Braunstein has terrific for and technique.
Keep an eye on this one. He could emerge as one of the west’s best place-kicker/punters…
