Booker still excited about Auburn
When you commit in the summer, some times it is like people totally forget about you. That’s the case with future Auburn Tiger Calvin Booker, the talented pro-style quarterback from Atlanta Mays.
“It’s been really quiet around here,” he said. “I still get a lot of calls, but a bunch of teams really backed off when they found out I committed. But people like Mississippi State, Notre Dame and Duke still call every once in a while. But I’m not really interested in them. I’m still very excited about Auburn.”

Booker, who is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, will trip to Auburn on January 16. He’s excited about the visit.
“I just want to get a feel for what it’s like,” he said. “I want to see what the lifestyle is like, how they live and what they do there in the town. I’m going to be there for a while, so I want to be able to call it home.”
Booker was recently named first-team all-metro after throw for 1,417 yards and 17 touchdowns with only six interceptions as a senior.
“I’m excited to get to Auburn,” he said. “I followed them really closely this year, and I know it wasn’t the type of season that was expected. They had national championship aspirations and lost those early games, but I was really proud at how they bounced back.”
