Booker opens up his recruitment

Yesterday we did a profile on Donyell Booker (6 ½, 295, 5.0) from Reedley Junior College in California. We reported that he was nearing his decision but it looks like two new players have been added into the mix for his services and his recruitment may go for just a little longer.
In our report yesterday we reported that Booker is one of the most dominating and talented defensive linemen on the JUCO level. Believe it or not a lot has happened in 24 little hours.

Booker came home after a nice visit to Oregon State with one visit scheduled to Fresno State this weekend on November 29th. He had pretty much narrowed it down to those two schools.
Our good friend at Reedley Junior College, assistant coach Shane Beatty, informed us that the recruitment of Booker has opened up.
The Washington Huskies called yesterday and said they are interested in Booker. The Huskies will be by the school next week to take a look at Booker. Beatty also said the Huskies offered Booker a trip.
That’s not all the good news for the former Houston (Texas) Wheatley defensive tackle received yesterday. Iowa State will also be by Reedley on Tuesday and they too have thrown their hat into the ring for Booker’s services.
The word that Booker had a visit open up created a lot of buzz among colleges. The opening came up because Booker had to cancel his visit to Tennessee.
Booker was named his conferences Defensive Player of the Year after busting through double teams to rack up 62 tackles and 14 ½ sacks. His 14 ½ sacks are particularly impressive since he picked his sacks up lining up over the center.
