Bone Crusher still sitting at five

The nation’s No. 6 defensive tackle, Eric “The Bone Crusher” McLendon of Vidalia, Ga., has been down to his final five for quite some time. But with a week or two of focus on the playoffs ahead, has he shifted his focus at all on the teams on his list?
“Not really,” McLendon, who is 6-foot-6 and 288 pounds, said. “It’s still the same five guys as it was before. I still really like Georgia, and the Dawgs are my leader. I’ve got them set up for a visit on January 9.

“Then I’m also working on dates with Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Miami. But my main focus now has been really on the playoffs. We have our first round game this week.”
McLendon’s team is 10-0-1 on the season and they expect to remain perfect all the way until the state championship game.
“We’ve put in a lot of hard work,” he said. “This is the time when we all must step up and play our best football. I know I’m ready.”
McLendon, a four-star prospect, is also ranked as the No. 7 player in the state of Georgia.
