Bonds names leader

MIAMI--Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln has more prospects than any other school playing in this weeks CaliFlorida game and with good reason. One of the Lincoln stars is defensive end Kerry Bonds, who is a hot commodity for several schools and at this point he names a slight leader.
"Right now my top two are Maryland and West Virginia," Bonds said. "LSU is supposed to be talking about offering me, but that was before coach Saban left so now I'm not sure what is going on. I am starting to talk to Louisville and South Carolina a lot too."

Bonds has been hearing the recruiting pitches from some of the Florida squad's committed players, but none have made a stronger impression than one coming from one of his teammates.
"My teammate Cole Harvey has been talking to me a lot about Alabama," Bonds said. "They were kind of my favorite at one point and I still like them a lot, but I think they are trying to move away from recruiting me some reason. I really haven't heard much from them lately or anything. They wanted me to set up an official visit at one point, but I haven't heard much about that either in a while really."
The 6-foot-3, 232-pound Bonds, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, is ranked as the No. 37 strongside defensive end in the country and is ranked as the No. 54 player in the state of Florida.
