Bolden picks up Vanderbilt offer

Three-star running back Brandon Bolden out of Baton Rouge (La.) Scotlandville is one of the most versatile running backs in the Southeast. He can run with speed, power and he can catch the ball out of the backfield. It is fitting that three Southeastern Conference Schools are the schools that lead for his services.
While Alabama and Ole Miss have been the highest on his list for some time, with a recent offer, Bolden has added a third school to the top of his list.

"I got an offer from Vanderbilt," Bolden said. "It's a good academic school. I don't know much about the football team but I need to find out more. I'm interested in them now because of the offer. I had gotten one of those information books on them but that's about it. Basically I've narrowed it down to Ole Miss, Alabama and Vanderbilt."
Bolden's communication between the other two schools of interest has varied.
"I actually started talking to [the new staff at Ole Miss] after they got the job," he said. "They're real nice, pretty cool people. I haven't talked to a coach from Alabama since the LSU game."
While Bolden's receiving ability makes him a strong threat out of the backfield, he claims that his role in the offense is less important than another factor that Vanderbilt coaches may be happy to hear about.
"Coaches have been talking to me about the way they want to use me but the biggest thing for me is academics."
Bolden, who finished his senior season at Scotlandville with over 1,000 yards of total offense and a dozen touchdowns says that he has no specific time frame for making a decision.
"I'm not in any rush," he said. "I'm still wating. I'm gonna commit before signing day but I'm not in a big rush to get it done."
Bolden has one official visit scheduled for Ole Miss on January 18th and is still planning his trips to Tuscaloosa and Nashville.
