Bolden adds Oklahoma State offer

With a couple strong performances at events this past spring, Damuzhea Bolden emerged as a prospect to keep tabs on the next two years.
The four-star safety from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman continued to show why he is considered one of the top defensive backs in the 2017 class over the weekend when he camped with Oklahoma State and landed a scholarship offer from the Cowboys.

"I liked the visit and walking around the school a lot," Bolden said. "Coach (Dan) Hammerschmidt told me they liked the way I play and my backpedal from the safety spot. They like my height and my size, which they said is already better than some college players and I've still got a couple years of high school left."
The 6-foot-3, 183-pound Bolden, nicknamed "Bubba," went on the visit with teammate Alex Perry, a 2017 cornerback committed to Arizona State. Bolden said he and Perry have discussed playing together at the next level.
"Alex is like a brother to me," Bolden said. "We've known each other since we were about five. Going through the recruiting process with him is going to be great."
Bolden intends to camp with the Sun Devils in July, but up next is a trip to Los Angeles for the Skill Positions Camp at USC. The Trojans expressed interest this past spring when they dropped by Bishop Gorman during the evaluation period.
"Man, USC has been a top school for me since I was little," Bolden said. "I'm hoping I do well out there at camp and get an offer. I'm looking forward to meeting the coaches. They came by our school and they wanted to come on a visit with Tate (Martell), but I couldn't make it out there. I know they've talked to coach (Kenny) Sanchez about me quite a bit."
As for Oklahoma State, which joined Hawaii on his offer sheet, Bolden said he plans to go to a game in Stillwater this upcoming season to get a feel for the atmosphere. Notre Dame, Tennessee and Washington are other national programs that Bolden said he's received mail from.
Bolden had 30 total tackles and an interception as a sophomore last year.
