Boise State scores in-state

Boise State recruits the state of California just as hard as anybody else in the nation, but coach Dan Hawkins knows that he must first own the state of Idaho to be truly successful because of the limited numbers of players it produces.
He wrapped up another in-state gem Saturday night when Boise (Idaho) Capital tight end/outside linebacker Kyle Efaw committed to the Broncos. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 3 player in the state of Idaho.

As a junior Efaw had 67 tackles and seven interceptions, helping Capital make it to the state semifinals. Efaw is also a talented basketball and baseball player, and at one point flirted with playing multiple sports in college.
Yet the draw of playing for the Broncos was too good to pass up.
"It's a better opportunity to play one sport at BSU," Efaw told the Idaho Statesman. "With them as good as they are now, the opportunity to that is something I didn't want to pass up."
Boise State also recently landed a commitment from the No. 2 player in Idaho – offensive tackle Nate Potter of Boise Timberbilne. He is 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds.
