Boise State adds another Texas prospect

Always able to find quality prospects where that others seem to overlook, Boise State is at it again. The Broncos added their sixth commitment of the 2009 class and the second out of the Lone Star State when Aaron Burks out of Mansfield (Texas) Timberview gave his verbal pledge to the program.
"I had went up on an unofficial visit to Boise State on Thursday and came back Saturday morning and then I committed," Burks said. "I got down there and really liked the campus. They've always been a key school that I liked. I've always liked them I just never thought I'd get an offer from them. They showed up at one of our practices and I got an offer that I didn't expect."

While on the campus in Boise, Idaho, Burks realized that the city had much more to offer than he had expected.
"The town was totally different than I thought," he said. "I was expecting it to be a small town like a Corsicana or something but it was a lot more up to date. I kind of knew that I wanted to commit before I got there but I wanted to see it just to see if I would fit in."
Burks claims interest from a number of other programs such as New Mexico, Penn State, Arkansas, Colorado State, Utah State and Texas A&M but he is confident that Boise State is the place for him.
"I'm' pretty locked into Boise State," he said. "I'm going to take an official visit in the fall."
