Boise St lands talented SoCal WR

Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro wide receiver Scott McKnight took an official visit to Boise State two weeks ago and committed to the Broncos while still on the trip.
"Scott committed on Sunday before coming back home," McKnight's father, Scott Sr. said. "He had a great time and just felt like Boise was a perfect for him. I came on the trip with him as well and had a chance to sit in on a lot of the meetings and I know a lot of the staff very well.

"I played at UC Davis right around the same time Dan Hawkins (head coach) did although we missed each other by one year. There are a couple of other staff members who I know who also played at Davis so there was a real comfort level with the coaching staff they have."
McKnight is also good friends with EA SPORTS Elite 11 quarterback Cody Hawkins who is a Bronco commit and we had a feeling that as soon as Boise St offered McKnight a few months ago, they would be tough to beat.
"The opportunity for Scott to come in and compete and have an impact is great at Boise State. The Tuesday after Scott committed, we got a call from Oregon who had just seen his senior film. They wanted to trip him in and offer him and said on film, Scott reminded them a lot of Keenan Howry.
"As much as we respect Oregon, Scott understands what it means to make a commitment and we didn't want to do that to Boise State. There is something to be said for picking the school that made you their first choice. Scott is the only WR Boise State offered and even though Oregon is a great school, they're going to recruit other great receivers this year and will continue to do it next year. Boise State was just the best overall fit for him and he's very excited to be going there and playing in that exciting offense they have."
McKnight has missed the last two games but in six games this season, he has caught 43 balls for 670 yards and seven touchdowns.
