Bogar inches closer to decision

One of the top defensive players in Oklahoma has zeroed his focus in on two schools and could have a decision soon.
Muskogee, Okla., cornerback Brenton Bogar said Thursday night that Kansas and in-state Tulsa are the two teams to beat for him. He also said he could have a decision between the two schools here in the next few weeks.

"My choice will definitely be coming soon," Bogar, who is 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, said.
"I'm going to the TU cam on the 17th and should leave out there with an offer. I haven't had a chance to get to too many places this summer. TU is going to be the first place I get to go to, but I was going to wait to make my choice, but with this TU offer coming, I feel like I could make my choice real soon.
"I've loved TU when I went to visit on the Junior Day and my mom loved it also. I also like Kansas. Both Kansas and TU are right now at the top of the list. My decision will pretty much be out of those two."
It's obvious that Bogar likes Tulsa, but what about Kansas? What do the Jayhawks have that attracts him?
"They win," Bogar said. "Plus coach Bill Miller said I'll have a chance to play based on what he's seen on film. Plus, Rell Lewis is up there. We're good friends. I like them a lot, too. It's going to be a tough decision because my cousin, Deon Morris, is committed to TU, so that's a plus for TU. But I'll just have to pray on it.
"Playing in the Big 12 is a big opportunity that not a lot of kids get a chance to do."
