Defensive tackle Corey Boatman is starting to consider official visits. The Wheaton (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel lineman believes he knows at least two schools that'll receive trips from him after the season.
"I know one of my officials will be to Cincinnati and another to Syracuse likely after the season," he said. "I honestly don't know the others. They will have to come in time.
"I have a very strong interest in those two schools and I like Rutgers too although I'm not sure what's going on with them. I like those, but I don't know what's going to happen in the future and there are other schools I may consider too. I'm not that focused on recruiting right now."
What stands out to Boatman about the Bearcats and Orangemen?
"For those, it's the overall environment, the vibe I get from the coaching staffs and people there," he said. "They seem like good places for me and prestigious academic schools. That's one thing that is important to me."
At least a few other schools are still considering offering including Michigan State, Alabama, West Virginia and Virginia. All of them want to see film before going further.
The two-star prospect has helped his team to a 5-1 record this season.
"My team is getting better," he said. "We have a lot of good players and everyone is dedicated. Everyone wants to win and get back to the championship this year.
"I think I've been playing well. I don't know my exact numbers, but I think I have about 35 tackles and four sacks. I feel I can do better. I'm really trying to work on stopping the run better and playing against guys that are bigger than me since I know I'll have to do that in college."
