Blueford talks season, recruitment

Cornerback Mylon Blueford out of Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith continues to slide under the radar. The 5-foot-11, 150-pounder updated his recruitment at this point and time as well as how things are going with his new team.
"I've got the same three offers (Elon, Old Dominion, Richmond)," he said. "Towson called the other day and they want to get some film. They are really interested and it sounds like they'll get an offer extended to me. William & Mary told me I'm one of their top guys. Delaware has said the same thing.

"They are all very interested and they are going to offer, it's just a process."
What about the bigger schools?
"The big schools want to see my first couple games," he said. "We've only played one game and we're going to try to get that film out pretty soon."
Oscar Smith dropped their opener, a road game to Pickerington Central this past Monday.
"The season is going great," he said. "My adjustment at Oscar Smith has been good. I've known most of the guys and the coaches told me I played a great game this week. For someone not being at Oscar Smith, I played like I had all my life the coaches said.
"We should have won that game, they just capitalized on some mistakes. It shows us where we have to improve. The good thing is it doesn't count towards our actual season and we can still win the state of Virginia."
Blueford has an extra special game this week as Oscar Smith plays his former team, Indian River.
"That's the game of the season right there for me," he said. "It's going to be a great game since I've been with those guys for the last three years. There will be a lot of emotions with the game, but it's going to be a lot of fun, my friends seeing me on the other side of the field."
