He has not set up any of his visits as of yet and will make his decision after a couple of his visits, probably some time in December.
Earlier in the day Mrs. Wright said, "I would like him to stay close, but we are leaving the decision up to him."
Rodrique said of the decision, "I'm mainly looking at academic standards and the competiveness of the team. Can they make it to a bowl game or not is going to be the question."
Rodrique has gained 10 pounds preparing for the start of the season on September 7th.
Texas is a favorite in the Wright household, while his mother also likes LSU.
If he had to make his official visits, they would be to the following (his comments follow):
Texas – "I like the coaches. It's close to home and has a good stadium."
Lousiana State – "The recruiting techniques by the coaches I liked a lot."
Oklahoma – "The recruiting techniques and they're the defending national champions. They contend regularly."
Kansas State - "I know one of their players and they're in contention for the Big 12 title."
Texas A&M – "It's even closer than Texas and they have a good team and facilities."
"I don't know about Texas A&M. I may replace them with another school," Rodrique said.
He will major in communications wherever he goes.
