One of the top junior football recruits in the state of Florida, there aren't many scholarship offers yet to be had for Xavier Lherisse.
More than 40 programs had offered entering the weekend, with one noticeable in-state exception. A visit to Florida State on Saturday changed that and it meant plenty to the Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie two-way star.
"That's the one school I've been wanting forever now," Lherissee told Rivals. "They just wanted me to get back on campus. FSU has always been my dream school. My uncle and my dad would take me to all the camps and games when I was little and my freshman year they came to talk to me and they said they liked me but just never offered until now."
Despite tenders from many of the best in the SEC, ACC and well beyond, there is an instant elevation for the Seminoles' place on the list.
"it puts them pretty high up there," he said. "I've always wanted to go here and I love the area and coaches."

Lherisse, who has spent time in the secondary, wide receiver and elsewhere as a junior, projects to play on the defensive side of the ball at the next level.
While in town he met with several coaches, from Mike Norvell on to several assistants ahead of the game against Memphis.
"Just talking about my game and how they need playmakers," he said. "And good people in general and I fit that mold."
A three-sport player at EGHS with basketball and baseball supplementing football, Lherisse has helped the program get off to an undefeated start to the 2024 season. He has double digit interceptions to his name on the gridiron, including multiple early in his junior campaign.
On the recruiting front, Lherisse says he is in no rush to come to a decision although the tender from FSU could certainly accelerate the next step of the process.
