Blazers on a roll

Mobile (Ala.) Vigor cornerback Ellis Lankster was virtually unheard of in recruiting circles going into his senior season, but a big senior season ignited the interest of several schools and now he has a scholarship and a commitment in hand.
"I committed to UAB," Lankster said. "I just felt like it was the best place for me. It is close to home and I feel like I can be part of something special there. It was really just the best fit for me over all."

As a senior he earned all-state honors in class 6A and rushed for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for six touchdowns as well as returning punts and playing defensive back for the Wolves.
