Blaylock watches stock rise

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Cedar Hill wide receiver Romie Blaylock definitely was one player that stood out among the deep corps of pass-catchers this past weekend at the NIKE Training Camp. A new scholarship offer has come and Blaylock felt good about his performance.
"Things went pretty well for me," the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder said after Saturday's event. "There was a lot of good competition out there but I held my own. I had a nice quarterback (Jarrett Lee) and I chose to go with him quite a bit.

"We got on target and I only dropped the ball once I think."
Blaylock says his recruitment is getting more hectic as well. Another offer has come in from New Mexico State bringing his total to four.
"There are others out there that could be close," Blaylock said. "I'm just weighing out my options though. I wouldn't say that I'm leaning anymore right now."
The decision timeframe for the talented Texas receiver will be later rather than sooner.
"I'm going to make my decision after football season," he said. "I want to take some official visits first."
