Over the weekend, Rivals250 to watch safety Robert Blanton out of Matthews (N.C.) Butler made the trek to Wingate College. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder had a good experience at the Nike Camp in Charlotte even if the conditions weren't the best.
"I just got back from the Nike combine," he said. "It was a pretty cool experience except for the fact it was raining, windy and cold. I felt like I did alright, but it was tough. The best 40 time was 4.75 there, I did however do well in the shuttle running a 4.0 flat."
Meanwhile, Blanton plans to head to two colleges next weekend for visits.

"I'm going up to South Carolina and Virginia Tech," he stated. "Both schools will be over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. I just want to go and get a feel for both of their campuses and talk to the academic counselors to see what they have to offer me as far as a degree."
Currently the junior safety claims there are no favorites.
"No one really stands out at this time," he said. "I'm mostly looking for a school that offers great academics. I want to go into business management or financing. I also want to have a school that has a homey feel to it, a great campus and coaches that are looking out for me."
