Erie (Pa.) Cathedral defensive lineman Joe Blanks missed three games during his junior season with a knee injury. Blanks had arthroscopic surgery and is 100% healthy again.
The injury didn't damped interest from recruiters.
"Right now my top five is probably Nebraska, West Virginia, Boston College, Michigan, and Iowa," Blanks said. "Nebraska offered. And Akron offered too."
"I believe Pitt is going to offer too."
"Nebraska is probably my favorite. I like coach Callahan coming from the Raiders. I like what is going to happen with the team."
The 6-foot-3 and 305 pound Blanks helped lead his team to a 7-3 record during his junior season. Blanks is extremely strong and has the potential to be a fine interior lineman at the next level.
