Blanks favors Nebraska

Defensive lineman Joe Blanks said Nebraska is the leader right now among his college choices.
“I’m going their next month for a visit (wasn't sure of date), and right now I would say they are in front,” said the 6-foot-3, 305-pound Blanks. “I won’t know for sure until I see what everything is like for myself, but I’ve heard good things. I like the coaches and everyone I’ve dealt with has been real nice.”

Blanks also has a scholarship offer from Akron and is looking at Michigan State, Iowa and West Virginia. He has not set up any in home visits with coaches.
The No. 33-ranked prospect in the state of Pennsylvania has had quite a season with 55 tackles at Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep. He was named all-district on defense.
The Huskers received commitments from two defensive tackles this past weekend, so it's possible they'll back off Blanks.
