Blankenship begins busy week

Monaca (Pa.) Center Area offensive lineman Evan Blankenship has a busy week of college football camps. Then after this week it will likely be decision time for Blankenship.
Buckeyes fans can rest easy. Blankenship will be in Columbus for the camp. However he will first attend two other camps.

"I'm still going to Ohio State's camp (June 23)," Blankenship said on Sunday afternoon just before leaving for Ann Arbor. "I have one day of camp at Michigan (today), then one day at Pitt on Tuesday.
"I'll probably leave on Thursday for Ohio State. I might be there a couple days. My mom is going with me. She was talking about going out there for a couple days."
At one time Blankenship was talking about going to Boston College for a day of camp. But now this week will likely be it for Blankenship.
"As of now after Ohio State I'll be done," he said.
The 6-foot-3 and 310-pound Blankenship has had Ohio State and Pitt at the top of his list for some time. If Michigan were to offer a scholarship, perhaps that could change. But at least for now the Buckeyes and Panthers remain the big front runners.
"Ohio State and Pitt are still my favorites," Blankenship said. "I'm still definitely planning to pick before my season starts. I don't know the exact date, but probably sometime in August."
Blankenship has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Pitt and Temple. He won an MVP award at Ohio State's camp last summer.
