Blandin excited for ASU

LAS VEGAS - Josiah Blandin is visiting Arizona State for its junior day the first weekend of April and if everything works out well the Long Beach (Calif.) Poly wide receiver said he'd like to make a commitment.
The Sun Devils and Northern Arizona have offered according to Blandin, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound prospect who performed well Saturday here at the Badger Sports Elite 7-on-7 event.

He likes a lot about Arizona State and wants to end his recruitment if things go well on the junior day.
"It's something I'm really looking forward to," Blandin said. "I'm going to meet the entire coaching staff and see how the campus is, see how the practices are going and I think I'll really like it.
"If I actually like it when I go out there to take the visit, I'm going to come back home and discuss it with my mom and my head coach at Poly and if everything is right then I'm going to commit."
UCLA, Oregon State, USC, Cal, Washington, Nebraska, Miami and LSU are all showing interest in Blandin but he said Arizona State has a lot of what he's looking for whether it's the coaching staff he likes or a spread offense that suits his abilities.
With some players leaving after next season, Blandin feels he'll have a chance to get on the field early which is also a positive in the Sun Devils' favor.
"They're a spread offense and they have a lot of seniors leaving so that would give me a good chance to play as a freshman," Blandin said. "I'm really looking forward to the ASU trip."
